Our son Johnny completed an assignment in the remote Indian Ocean
island, stripping steel sheeting and asbestos insulation
from abandoned "vessels," ominous looking structures that had been used
in phosphate mining. It was tough, dangerous work. As compensation, he
received triple his usual pay and all this expenses, travel and living,
were covered.Clockwise from top left: Johnny with prize catch, a 50-pound Wahoo; a
strange critter from the deep (a flutemouth?). Johnny at work and wearing
