Son Johnny is employed as a sheet metal worker in the Perth area. It pays a lot better than his prior work with the Austal shipbuilding company. In addition, the hours or shorter, "so we're pretty happy about it."
He has time for fishing, a pastime at which he excels.  Here he hoists a 48-pound Dhufish, one of the largest ever taken. These fish are found only off Western Australia and are considered among finest table fish anywhere.
Johnny's son Connor, 11, is a chip off the old block. Besides excelling at sports, he also is a natural fisherman. Here he hoists a couple of formidable crayfish.
